Not sure if I said these before already, but according to the Sanda interview from the Case Files blu-ray:

Gray being scared of ghosts was Nasu’s idea

Reines was created by Higashide (Apocrypha was her debut appearance, though her scene was cut from the anime) but since they knew Case Files was coming he would go to Sanda often and ask “Is it okay if Reines is like this?”

When Apo ended Higashide basically shoved Caules toward Sanda saying “Here you go he’s joining the El-Melloi class!”

Sanda came up with Melvin when he questioned where Waver got the money to fly to Japan in Zero and later to buy the El-Melloi class. Melvin seeking pleasure in the suffering of others was inspired by Kirei

Svin was created because Flat being the only genius in the class would be boring

Sanda has plans for three stories of Waver’s adventures between Zero and CF. One was the “Babylon incident” in episode 1 of the anime, and the others are the “First lecture in Greece incident” and the “Italian mafia incident”

There is also a plan for a case involving Reines and her evil butler that happened when Reines was younger, but it’s not as detailed and fleshed out in his head as the three Waver stories are

Writing is zipping along through six pages in under an hour and then getting stuck on a single transition sentence for three weeks.

To be fair this is also kind of like saying “and then getting stuck on a major river crossing for three weeks.” Or like. The Bolton Strid.

SURE TECHNICALLY it’s a smaller piece of distance but it’s way harder to move on from there if you fuck up.

Numbuh 362 and Numbuh 86 would have been featured in Retro both in and leading up to Expansion 1. Numbuh 362 would have been found in the Absolution with TOM after having been rescued from the Moonbase’s destruction. Numbuh 86 was going to be out in Nowhere, trying to find a way to help 362 but being detained by Mr. Black and Mr. White and being unable to leave. (Mr. Black and Mr. White think she’s an alien because they’re incompetent and can’t understand a word she says. “I’ve run her speech through all my alien translators and can’t find a single match!”)

We were going to release a short promotional manga alongside the update that included 86, Mr. Black, and Mr. White, telling the story of how the Moonbase got destroyed. The Moonbase was overrun by Fusion Monsters as the last few crew members fled to the escape pods. 86 and 362 guided everyone through the evacuation. At the last second, a Fusion Monster attacked and damaged the controls, meaning 362 had to sacrifice herself and stay behind to manually launch the last escape pod containing 86.

Once the first Expansion released, we were going to release the second half of the manga, detailing how 362 was rescued from the Moonbase’s wreckage by TOM in the Absolution. After the rescue, the Absolution is pulled in by Nowhere’s UFO magnet but is redirected by the player in one of Kevin’s missions. It crash lands in the water near Stormalong Harbor and becomes an infected zone in the first expansion.

The story of the promotional manga might have been a little heavy in tone, and probably would have gone through a few more revisions before we reached the final product, but we had fun writing it and thought it was a fun amount of angst to see the characters in lol

Social media barely existed then, all these celebrities can fuck off with their “we’re all guilty”. WE the peasants did not cause Britney Spears to lose her adult autonomy with our shitty myspace pages and Yahoo Groups. The people with fame and talk show access did that.

People of power and influence ducking away from responsibility in order to save their own skins seems to be a recurring theme lately 😡

Opteration Fugitive: Debriefing - Han502653 - Codename: Kids Next Door [Archive of Our Own]

Summery: Fanny had wanted nothing more than impress Numbuh 362. Not only was she one of the best spies of the entire KND, but they had, at one point, been friends, back in training and as rookies, before they went their separate ways. Maybe… maybe she could salvage that? Safe to say she didn’t salvage that… but maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem.

I wanted to try and connect the fact that it’s canon Fanny has no friends at first and my headcanon that her, Patton, and Rachel are good friends…so this is a start to that.

Takes place after Operation Fugitive up at Moonbase.

Also, Fanny is a jerk, but at least in my version she’s has also been through a lot.
